Dead Can Dance return to stages across Europe in the coming 2022. They have announced the dates for their new European tour named Europa - 2022, which will take place in April, May and June and will also include Bulgaria. The date for the performance in Sofia is already confirmed for 14 May and the place is Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture.
Tickets go on sale on 17 September. You can also find them online at https://bit.ly/DeadCanDance2022.
Following a stunning performance in 2019, which the magnetic duo played at a crowded show at the ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, it comes again at the invitation of EventEase for another special event.
The exceptional performance that Dead Can Dance played for the Plovdiv audience, making it succumb to the power of art, will be remembered for a long time by all those present. This event, based on their then released latest studio album Dionysus (PIAS Recordings, 2018), has been talked about for months. Then both the group and the audience made a tacit promise to see each other again. Here it happens now.
The tour of the music tandem Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard will be accompanied by a full backing band of musicians. Compositions from the entire remarkable career and musical treasure chest of Dead Can Dance recordings will be performed. The group will wander through its reserve of releases collected over three decades, including also in the concert programme their favourite classic pieces from albums like The Serpent's Egg (4AD, 1988), Aion (4AD, 1990) and Into the Labyrinth (4AD, 1993).
