An exhibition in Sofia reveals the majesty of the DolomitesEuropost
On the occasion of the Contemporary Art Day, H.E. Stefano Baldi, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Bulgaria and Ms Verena Vittur, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Sofia, opened on 5 December an exhibition of photographs by Gustav Willeit, entitled "Natu.rae / DOLOMITI".
The exposition consists of 20 photographs placed on wall panels 20x170cm in size, which embellish the exterior walls of the Cultural Institute and the Italian Embassy in Sofia.
“Nature is a continuous activity of flowering and withering and, even if man always thinks outside, we are immersed, we are inside nature," says the author of the artworks, underlining that the Dolomites are an amazing fragment of the Alps mountain range, and they are really sublime.
Gustav Willeit was born in Brunico and grew up in Corvara in Alta Badia, in the Dolomites. He completed his studies at the "F + F Schule für Kunst und Design" in Zurich, acquiring a technical ability that is clearly revealed in the formal structure that supports his innate poetic vision of the world.
The photo exhibition will be opened for visitors until 28 February 2021 in Bulgaria's capital.
