Syrian refugees help Varna flood victims


Eight­een Syr­i­an nation­als from the ref­u­gee camp in Har­man­li, south­east­ern Bul­gar­ia, joined the efforts to repair the dam­age in Var­na's Aspar­u­hovo res­i­den­tial area. The coast­al city and sev­er­al oth­er Bul­gar­i­an towns suf­fered a heavy down­pour and flood­ing on 19 June result­ing in a death toll of thir­teen, doz­ens of destroyed homes and severe dam­age to munic­i­pal infra­struc­ture. The Inte­ri­or Min­is­try report­ed that repair works were still in progress.
