EU drug agency alarms on the resurgence of cocaine
Evidence of increased cocaine availability is highlighted by the EU drugs agency (EMCDDA) in its European Drug Report 2018, published last week. The report also alarms about more signs of increased drug production inside the EU. Cannabis remains the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. Highly potent new synthetic opioids, not covered by international drug controls, are important public health challenge in the EU, the report said.
