World renowned Italian tenor Alessandro Safina will stage his first concert in Bulgaria with an accompaniment of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra on 16 November. The lovers of classical music, pop, rock and soul will enjoy classical and cross-over pieces like Santa Lucia, Besame mucho, Luna, Guarda che luna, Libertango, Canzone per te, Incanto, and others.
The opera tenor has received classical music education. He has released two golden and four platinum discs and a high-profile magazine has listed him among the most beautiful men in the world.
Alessandro Safina was born in Siena, Italy, in 1963. At the age of nine he started his classical music education. His idol is the iconic Enrico Caruso. He draws inspiration from the music of U2, Genesis, Depeche Mode, The Clash, and is convinced that the genres have to blend to let classical music build up its audience.
Alessandro Safina has launched an original style of his own - opera rock. He has sang with Sarah Brightman, Elton John, Jose Carreras, Toto Cutugno, Rod Stuart, Barbara Hendricks, Ewan McGregor and other renowned singers.
