      Romania's National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated on 12 August the lists labeling the countries’ epidemiological risk. Netherlands, Malta, Kuwait, and Panama were moved to the Yellow List, alongside Estonia, Lithuania, Mexico, Finland, and others. Luxembourg and Oman are now on the Green List.

      The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Thursday that it has authorized a third Pfizer or Moderna jab for people with weakened immune systems. The measure allows for the use of an additional dose in certain immunocompromised individuals, such as organ transplant recipients, the FDA said in a statement, cited by dpa. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is scheduled to meet on Friday to discuss further clinical recommendations regarding immunocompromised individuals.

      Facebook announced on Tuesday that it has removed hundreds of accounts linked to a mysterious advertising agency operating out of Russia that sought to pay social media influencers to smear Covid-19 vaccines made by Pfizer and AstraZeneca, AP reported. A network of 65 Facebook accounts and 243 Instagram accounts was traced back to Fazze, an advertising and marketing firm working in Russia on behalf of an unknown client.
