The most popular attractions in those rooms are the mirrors that turn everything upside down. Your feet are firmly on the ground and yet the reflection shows them floating in the air.

The mafia in Bulgaria has yet again gone after lawmaker from the opposition Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) and publisher of Telegraph Media Delyan Peevski. Not a day goes by without the media outlets of the oligarchy’s barons spouting yet another lie about the MP. This vicious campaign has been going on for more than 10 years, and its orchestrators must have ran out of ideas a long time ago because they are now constantly abusing the same themes. To get to the bottom of this vile mesh of lies, false reports, defamation tactics and outright fabrications, it is best to look at it through the prism of the basic journalistic questions designed to uncover the objective truth.

The head of our state, who should represent the nation and should be its unifier according to the Constitution, proved to be a simple parrot. The events of the recent weeks have removed Rumen Radev’s mask and his feathered nature beneath has shown up - a colorful bird, Ara macaw, tied up to the Capital circle.

NGOs’ network of the behind-the-scenes clique does not even hide longer that its mentors have hugged and now they are trying to undermine our country together, in order to get rid of the retribution for their crimes. The special unit connected with the indicted oligarch Ivo Prokopiev for strikes against the awkward one of the oligarchs - the NGO Justice for Everyone, is preparing another coup, this time in front of the Sofia Court House.

It becomes scary when the hinges of “Dragalevtsi’s suitcases” start creaking (editor’s note – “suitcases” mean the process of streaming of money to people, faithful to the former communist system). Dirty secrets and even dirtier little men emerge from the dust.

Also because of the hope, which is obviously harboured by them, that by reprinting the lies by means of indigo, their manipulations will reach more readers and some of them may trust them.

You see Prokopiev as an arrogant oligarch who was practically gifted a lucrative kaolin mine, who devastated an entire town, and hit your personal finances with unjustifiably inflated electricity bills? Then you are one of Delyan Peevski’s people. You are furious that Prokopiev’s fellow privatisation investor with legal problems on his mind and media outlets spewing fake news on his portfolio – Ognyan Donev – is making money at the expense of your health? Then you are one of Delyan Peevski’s people.

The Prosecutor’s Office brings charges against two former chairpersons of the country’s energy regulator EWRC (at the time Energy and Water State Regulatory Commission), Angel Semerdzhiev and Svetla Todorova, for abuse of official capacity. Semerdzhiev was at the helm of the watchdog from 2011 until 2013, while Todorova’s term lasted from 2014 until 2015.

Our country is shaken by unprecedented scandals of corruption and lobbying with presidential counsellors and indicted businessmen in the main role. Arrests follow one after another, but priorities for the oligarchs and their mainstream media machine are expectedly different. To distract attention.
