The unforgettable show The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber is coming to Bulgaria for the first time ever - with two nights on 15 and 16 May in Varna and Sofia, respectively. The international project presents a selection of emblematic works of one of the most influential composers of musicals of all time, who has created masterpieces such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sunset Boulevard, etc.

The cast of exceptional vocalists performing Webber musicals, including Yngve Gasoy-Romdal (Norway), Sascha Krebs (Germany), Charlotte Heinke (Germany) and Beatrix Reiterer (Italy), will be joined by Bulgarian singer Lucy Diakovska. Over 120 musicians and singers will be on stage conducted by the star of musical theatre Sebastian de Domenico. Under his guidance, unique symphonic orchestrations will premiere in Bulgaria before they are introduced to the German-speaking audience throughout Europe in 2020. The Sofia and the Pleven Philharmonic orchestras will partner with the National Philharmonic Choir to tell the stories that have captured the imagination of people around the world.

Yngve Gasoy-Romdal, Sascha Krebs, Charlotte Heinke and Beatrix Reiterer have hundreds of shows under their belt performing the music and personages created by the brilliant British composer. Over the last 15 years, they have played Che Guevara and Evita Peron; the Phantom, Christine and Raoul; Jesus, Judas and Mary Magdalene; Grizabella and Rum Tum Tugger on some of the most prestigious European stages. John Partridge, the London's West End star, is known as Webber's favourite performer of the role of Rum Tum Tugger in Cats - not only in the film version of the beloved musical but also on stages across Europe.

The show will be at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna on 15 May and at Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia on 16 May.
