Peevski: A spoon of tar in a barrel of CorpBank honey

A certain journalist of Duma daily shows muscle to demonstrate that he is still alive and kicking. A commendable effort for a newspaper which now publishes more obituaries than opinion pieces. Commendable but not quite. Because there is a spoon of tar in a barrel of honey where the fugitive banker used to thrust his hand every day until the barrel was emptied. And this has made the analysis meaningless and turned into a fake.

      Frog legs kicking against Peevski

The Frognews people are in the whirl of a crazy verbal dance. They spin, twist and distort, desperately trying to justify their salaries in a vociferous tirade against lawmaker and Telegraph Media publisher Delyan Peevski.

About the honour of certain “independent” media outlets

Once upon a time, there was Radio Free Europe (RFE)… It is back, actually, financed by the US Congress. However, the American taxpayers have little idea that their money is being used to serve the oligarchy in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian desk of this otherwise credible radio station does exactly this – it helps oligarchs dreaming of submitting all three branches of power to their will, cleans up their reputations and points a finger at the independent outlets that hamper these individuals from executing their plans. It also manipulates public opinion.

Prosecutors’ association accuses an Ivo Prokopiev media outlet in attempting to discredit the Prosecutor’s Office

The Association of Bulgarian Prosecutors (ABP) recently came out with a statement in defence of Specialised Prosecutor’s Office member Silvia Solkolova, who became the target of manipulative claims in an article published in a media outlet owned by the indicted businessmen Ivo Prokopiev. Said article, published in the weekly newspaper Capital, cites a comment made by Prosecutor Sokolova six years ago, taking it out of context in a bid to discredit the support that the employees of the two specialised prosecutor’s offices expressed for the nomination of Deputy Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev to take over the soon-to-be-vacated top position.

White shark sensation: Oligarchy’s pawns have delirious dreams about Peevski

When thermometers start hitting 30℃ many have their brains turn to mush. This phenomenon has manifested itself in the past few days on familiar and obscure Bulgarian websites openly serving the interests of indicted oligarchs. Buckling under the heath and the stress, the oligarchy’s scribblers rolled up their sleeves and got down to slandering the sworn enemy of the behind-the-scenes clique in Bulgaria – lawmaker of the opposition party MRF and Telegraph Media publisher Delyan Peevski.

No worries, doctor! Knock a drink back for Peevski and you will be fine

It is scary stuff what an inebriated mind can come up with. It is even scarier that the hangover drags for days after that. Have no worries, Dr Popkutuev! Knock a drink back, raise a glass for Peevski and proceed to curse your heart out. You did this two days ago and what happened? You disgorged some hog-wash on the Frognews website entitled by your sober editor “Dictatorship in the Prosecutor’s Office? There is such a thing”. Hic!

Oligarchy engineers scandal with the PICs of Borissov, Tsatsarov and Peevski

The entire plethora of websites gravitating towards the oligarchic circle of friends of Ivo Prokopiev, led by the flagship website Dnevnik, has cleverly engineered a scandal surrounding the Personal Identification Codes (PIC) of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov and lawmaker and Telegraph Media publisher Delyan Peevski. Following their inept and unconvincing gossiping against Peevski, this time around Prokopiev, Tsvetan Vassilev and company played their cards extremely perfidiously.

The 2014 babbling of The Lighter stirs “new” manipulation against Peevski

The website Fakti.bg finally got Prokopiev’s media battering rams on the board after several days of them failing to invent some type of manipulation about lawmaker and Telegraph Media publisher Delyan Peevski. A bit sloppily, the website in question regurgitated the news about the new head of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Plovdiv Yordan Rogachev. In doing the bidding of the tandem of Tsvetan Vassilev and Ivo Prokopiev, it reported out of the blue that “according to Ministry of Interior sources Rogachev is considered to be close with MRF lawmaker from the region Delyan Peevski”.

    • Peevski, the media and the distortion mirror of Reporters Without Borders

Peevski, the media and the distortion mirror of Reporters Without Borders

Do you know the Italian version of the Bulgarian idiom meaning “to talk incessantly about the same thing”? It is literally translated as “still the same soup”. Pauline Adès-Mével, head of Reporters Without Borders’s (RSF) eastern Europe and Balkans desk since 2017, may be French-born but she acts equally Italian and Bulgarian when it comes to those two phrases, as she is regurgitating the same talking points and eating “the same soup” courtesy of the chef of the Capital circle – indicted oligarch Ivo Prokopiev.
