UBJ fights media transparency amendments with lies

The management of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ) has resorted to blatant lies in a bid to lend its support to the behind-the-scenes clique and its slandering machine in opposing the media act amendments introduced to parliament by Movement for Rights and Freedoms lawmakers Delyan Peevski, Yordan Tsonev and Velislava Krasteva. The proposals are aimed at illuminating the owners and financing methods of all media outlets in Bulgaria.

Union of Bulgarian Journalists becomes source of fake news

The half-legal Union of Bulgarian Journalists has turned into a source of fake news in service of the oligarchy. The once reputable organisation, now full of pensioners and having next to no representation in the guild, issued a statement regarding the media transparency bill introduced to parliament by our publisher MP Delyan Peevski and his fellow Movement for Rights and Freedoms members Yordan Tsonev, Velislava Krasteva and Hamid Hamid.

According to the letter, the notes detail instructions from Tsvetan Vassilev (it claims that the handwriting is assuredly his) and were composed in Belgrade and sent to some unspecified recipients in Bulgaria

      Co-player of Bulgarian Madoff - Kremlin's spearhead

A close associate of the Bulgarian Madoff Tsvetan Vassilev is Nikolay Malinov, who is a liaison officer of his Russian oligarch friends like Konstantin Malofeev. He assumed the role of Kremlin’s spearhead for imposing Russian influence over Bulgaria. Businessman and ex-MP, who is a longtime Chair of the National Russophile movement is officially considered the main mouthpiece of the Kremlin in Bulgaria. Last week he made appearance on the international scene after taking part in the 4th International Livadian Forum that took place in the Crimea, a peninsula Russia annexed from Ukraine. Courts controlled by several oligarchs protecting Bulgarian Madoff's loot

The Bulgarian courts seem to have been infiltrated by a handful of oligarchs trying to protect the fortune that has been stolen from the Bulgarian people. The latest proof of this reality is the disgraceful teaming up of fugitive banker Tsvetan Vassilev and 14 judges of the Commercial College of the Supreme Court of Cassation (SCC), a court led by the oligarchy's protege Lozan Panov. Using the billions of levs he embezzled from CorpBank, the Bulgarian Madoff recently organised yet another outrageous attack against the Bulgarian state and citizens, executed by a handful of representatives of the justice system.
