Thomas Hampson to sing in Sofia for the first time

Thomas Hampson, star of the Metropolitan Opera and a Grammy Award-winning artist, is set to perform for the first time in Bulgaria on 16 May. The world-renowned baritone’s concert with the Sofia Philharmonic was originally scheduled for December 2017 but was postponed after the singer got sick, the orchestra reminds. Hampson is travelling to Sofia from Austria following a performance in the role of Simon Boccanegra at the Wiener Staatsoper.
