Former State Security agents undermine government
Delyan Peevski's name is dragged into every misinformation out there
1 December, 2017
Former agents of the obscurantist State Security agency are coming out of the woodwork in yet another attempt to undermine the government system, doing the bidding of the oligarchs of the Lamb Heads circle. The former political officers Ognyan Stefanov and Iliyan Vassilev are doing some heavy duty of spewing slander and manipulations against key public institutions and the government on a daily basis, to the point of spinning international conspiracy theories. The name of our publisher and nemesis of the oligarchy, MP from the MRF Delyan Peevski, is involved in each of these fake news items. The reason behind this frantic output of misinformation is obvious – it is the latest attempt to extricate oligarchs Tsvetan Vassilev and Ivo Prokopiev from the clutches of the justice system.
To save them from the looming comeuppance for their crimes, a secret agent-style plan has been activated featuring Ognyan Stefanov (Agent Academician) and Iliyan Vassilev (Agent Sasho) in the lead roles. In the past few days, the two have been churning out fake news seemingly on a quota system, describing ominous scenarios for the government system in Bulgaria. Their media manipulations border on the absurd but that is irrelevant as the smear campaign’s goal is not to show logical thinking in the news items but to amass volume. Another basic principle observed by the Fake News Factory is to always insert Delyan Peevski’s name, who is enemy No.1 of the behind-the-scenes slander machine, because of all the revelations made by the members of his media group regarding the oligarchs’ crimes.
Among the latest masterpieces of Stefanov is an analysis published in his negligible website Frognews (funded by the fugitive banker Tsvetan Vassilev), outlining grim geopolitical scenarios for future Bulgarian cabinets and possible new coalitions in the event that the government does not finish its term. In other words, oligarchs are salivating over the idea of snap elections. Early elections in Bulgaria would play into the hands of the behind-the-scenes clique, whose leaders are the only people in the country who want instability at the top right now, so they can get off the hook. Let us not forget that the first hearing in the massive case regarding the draining of CorpBank, in which Tsvetan Vassilev, aka the Bulgarian Bernard Madoff, is among the main defendants, is scheduled to be held in two weeks’ time. This explains the state of extreme anxiety the Bulgarian Madoff is experiencing in his luxurious penthouse in Belgrade, where he is hiding from the justice system. Driven to panic by the upcoming hearing, which will likely expose all of his shady deals, Vassilev activated his paid town criers to clean up his public image and tarnish the reputation of the oligarchy’s enemies. In a state of panic is also Ivo Prokopiev, who knows that toppling the current National Assembly is the only thing that can stave off the approval of proposed amendments to the Constitution intended to allow an audit of the criminal privatisation process in Bulgaria.
